Child Abuse Pediatrics
Child Abuse Pediatrics at Palmetto Health Children's Hospital provides comprehensive medical evaluations for children and adolescents who are suspected victims of any form of child maltreatment.
With a full complement of skilled child abuse providers, the Family Services Center has the ability to see children sooner, including children who have been placed in emergency protective custody. The primary source of referrals are law enforcement and the Department of Social Services; however, if a physician has a concern that a child has been abused or neglected, please call us.
We have a dedicated Palmetto Health’s Pediatric Child Abuse team, which provides evaluation, treatment and consultation services in:
- Physical abuse
- Sexual abuse
- Neglect (medical, nutritional, supervisional, educational, physical)
- Domestic violence
- Drug exposed children
- Medical child abuse
- Children who have been placed in emergency protective custody
In addition to our office on Landmark Dr., the Children’s Advocacy Center has expanded to provide medical services in a satellite office at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. The Family Services Center, on the second floor of the Children’s Hospital, provides medical services for children and adolescents from the following counties:
