Floor Descriptions

Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital greets families with a welcoming environment designed to engage children and nurture families during their time in the hospital. From the distinctive aquarium in our aquatic-themed atrium to our rainforest, grasslands, polar, temperate and desert floors, you will find surprises throughout Children’s Hospital.

Every single person that touches our children is specialty trained in Pediatrics. Whether it be a nurse, respiratory therapist, physical therapist, patient tech, social worker etc., all have pediatric knowledge and experience.

Our Child Life team coordinates music therapy, pet therapy, art therapy, and other programs to keep children engaged and provide therapeutic diversion for our patients and their families.
